Dark Autumn Notes
I had a seasonal colour analysis done in mid 2023 at Be You Personal Color Analysis in Oregon. Anne was a dear, and after an hour or so of draping, she diagnosed me as a Dark Autumn. That means (as I understand it) that I’m an Autumn season, but with some winter traits.
“Fall Leaves, Savoury Spices, and Lava” is how I think about it.

These are some notes from the book Return to Your Natural Colours:
“If Soft Autumn was warm apple pudding cake with butterscotch sauce, and True Autumn was Carrot Cake, then Dark Autumn is Gingerbread with Vanilla Whipped Cream, and Dark Winter is Black Forest Cake”
“Dark Autumn colours are so rich and substantial that we don’t immediately perceive their slight muting and cooling. Indeed, they contain so much colour pigment that they are only muted relative to Winter colours, and contain so much warmth that they are only cool relative to the True Autumn palette“
