First photos from Gatsby…

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

When I have huge batches of photos that need to be worked up in Photoshop, I follow a certain order…

  1. Photos where people said “Send me a copy,” because otherwise I’ll forget,
  2. Photos of me with cute girls,
  3. Everything else.

I’ve got numbers 1 and 2 done ;)

First up, Susan and I. I’ve known Susan from dancing for about eight years now.

Next, Darren looking like an idiot with cute girl. Hey idiot, look at the cute girl, not at the sky!

Weekends

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

It seems to be quite common that I either have nothing to do on the weekend, or way too much stuff to do.

This weekend was one of the latter, with friday and saturday night dances at the San Francisco Lindy Exchange, and sunday at the Art Deco Society’s annual Gatsby picnic.

And, of course, tons of photoshop work to be done, because I took my camera to all three events. Add in some studying for my Japanese course tomorrow, and I am basically dead on my feet. Or would be if I wasn’t sitting in a chair.

I also managed to come up with a witty saying in conversation; Saturday night at the dance, my friend Sharon was mentioning how many single women there were at the dance, and I said on the spur of the moment “I’m good at flirting, but not at converting,” which would be even funnier if it wasn’t so painfully true.

Photos coming up over the next few days…

There are things afoot in the ice box…

There seems to be something wrong with physics; specifically in my freezer…

Something is strange in the ice chest...

Do I have a tiny little black hole sucking the water towards the top? Is the water trying to escape? Is it alive?
